Fall 2008: Theology II

Doctrine of God and Man

This semester is a study of the Biblical teaching concerning God and man using J. I. Packer's Knowing God.  After probing what it means to know God and ourselves, the class will consider the three persons of the Godhead and their attributes and the implications for man made in the image of God.  Then, there will be an exploration of God's love, grace, judgment and holiness and its implications for man fallen.  Finally, the class will engage the Biblical teaching on God's salvation blessings in the Gospel and its implications for man redeemed. Through class presentation and discussion this class aims to grow in knowledge and Christian maturity concerning the nature of God and man.
